12 January 2003 - DM17 leaves Hong Kong on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship 'Tagus'. The route to the UK will be via Japan and the US, arriving in Southampton in early March. 3 March 2003 - Bus Focus, the regular in-house magazine from Bus Fan World, features on article on DM17. Bus Fan World, is Hong Kong's biggest bus Fan Club. 14 March 2003 - The 'Tagus' berths at Southampton Docks and DM17 is once again back on UK soil. The bus will be stored near Norwich. 22 March 2003 - DM17 passes it's MOT and is now registered H74 ANG.Rear fog lights have now been wired in to comply with UK law, and she has has a thorough clean inside. 28 March 2003 - The May edition of Bus and Coach Preservation includes a full page feature on DM17, with colour photographs. 6 April 2003 - DM17 enters it's first rally at Cobham and attracts plenty of interest (see Photos section). 22 April 2003 - The May edition of Buses magazine includes a colour photograph of DM17. 14 June 2003 - The second of a two part article appears in Bus Focus. 29 June 2003 - North Weald Bus Rally (see Photos section). 7 September 2003 - Norwich (see Photos section). 29 September 2003 - Showbus 2003 - Duxford (see Photos section). Winner of the Best 1990's Double Decker award. 20 April 2004 - No rallies planned at moment. DM17 is currently out of MOT. We need to replace both front shock absorbers, and reline the front brakes. Also planned is a full chassis wash, and gearbox oil change and filter change. North Weald (27 June 2004) is a possibility, Showbus, Duxford (26 September 2004) hopefully a definite . 9 July 2004 - DM17 passed her MOT today after we had completed the work of renewing the front brake drums and linings and fitting a new pair of front shocks.
