Kowloon Motor Bus

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co (1933) Ltd, or KMB as it is commonly referred to, is Hong Kong's largest bus operator. In fact it is the largest private bus company in the world, owning over 4,000 buses and operating over 400 franchised routes with over 13,000 staff. In 2004, over 80% of it's buses were air-conditoned, and the percentage is constantly increasing. It was formed in 1933, initially operating the franchised bus routes in Kowloon, but later expansion covered the whole colony. It was the first company to operate double-deck buses in Hong Kong.
