| The model
- commissioned by the Hong Kong Transport Society, this was the third Olympian
model to carry Reunification graphics.It correctly represents an 11-metre
Olympian example. It also correctly features the window arrangement of
the prototype.
The bus
- VA21 was one of the buses in CMB's fleet which carried the message
'Celebration of Reunification of Hong Kong with China'. Similar Reunification
graphics were carried on buses belonging to the other major bus operators.
The design was produced by Mr Hong Bing-Wah, an Executive Committee member
of the Association for Celebration of Reunification of Hong Kong with China
(ACRHKC), which sponsored the application of the design. Model numbers
43204
(Citybus) and 43207 (KMB) carry similar graphics.
VA21 entered service in December 1994. |
