The model - two versions of this model were announced on 19th August 2008 and they were released on 27th August. One version is on route 70M to Wo Che whilst the second is on route 112 to North Point.

The bus - M1 was the first of three prototype 12 metre MCW "Super" Metrobuses ordered by KMB for evaluation, arriving in Hong Kong in May 1981. It was later renumbered 3M1, the "3" being added to denote 3-axle vehicles.
