The model - this is the second resin model of DD1, and has been specially commissioned by Concorde Hobby Shop and Digbys Miniature Automobiles, with a limited run of 300 models, 150 of each will be made available in Hong Kong and the UK respectively.

The model has been re-made by P & T (formerly 3+12) and is produced in resin with white metal chassis and has a different destination/route number to the first issue, also the Dennis badge is situated in the middle of the grille as opposed to just below the windscreen on the original.

The bus - DD1 was ordered as part of China Motor Bus's evaluation of second generation rear-engined buses. It entered service in January 1979, having been exhibited at the Motor Show, in Birmingham, in 1978 -  Extracted from Mike Davis's excellent book Hong Kong Buses  -  China Motor Bus - 65 Years
