Hong Kong Bus Operators ... KMB
The last of the Metrobuses

The last Kowloon Motor Bus 11-metre MCW Metrobus (S3M233) was withdrawn from service on 10th May 2007.  It is believed that all the Metrobuses will be scrapped in Hong Kong, although it is
hoped one or two will be preserved .

On 25th March 2007 Bus Fan World organised a special event to mark their farewell. It began at 9:00am at Tsing Yi AR Station. S3M254 & S3M223 attended the event, but unfortunately S3M254 suffered an engine problem on the Tuen Mun Road and could not finish the journey. Dennis Dragon S3N301 was summoned to replace her and she finished the journey with S3M223 at 1:30pm in Mei Foo.

S3M254 was the last Metrobus to be registered by KMB, on 7th May 1990, and it was
withdrawn on 5th May 2007, just two days before it's licence was due to expire and two days before completing 17 years of service - and what a superb condition it is in!
