Buses from the Rest of the World ...
 Australian Bustech CDi - September-November 2013

In 2012 it was announced that double-deck buses were to return to Sydney as part of a government trial to free road space across the city.
The first bus was unveiled by the Australian Transport Minister on 23 August,  and entered service on routes between Blacktown and the north-west suburbs.
This was to be followed by seven more vehicles in 2013 in a trial to run until 2014.

The buses are built by the Australian company Bustech and are believed to be 12.5 metres in length with a carrying capacity of 110 passengers.

Whilst all buses carry the standard livery for Transport for New South Wales, they are operated by different companies.
The first was delivered to Busways whilst Hillsbus received five buses, nos 6088-6092 and Forest Coachlines received two.

Spotted in Sydney on Monday 25th November 2013 was this Bustech CDi. It carries Translink livery (Brisbane and Gold coast contracted operator livery) and belongs to Surfside Buslines (a sister company of Bustech). This is the 11th CDi built and it was heading to Melbourne for demonstration, staying in Scania Sydney for overnight stops.

My thanks to Stephen Cho for the above information and photograph.
