New Scania K310UD demonstrator - May 2010
 
SBS Transit's new Scania K310UD double-deck bus (registered SBS7888K) made it's revenue service debut on 15 May 2010 plying on service 133M connecting Shenton Way, the new Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort and Suntec City.  The new bus is fitted with Gemilang bodywork.

SBS7888K is the second Scania double-deck bus to be used by SBS Transit (or former Singapore Bus Services) since the debut of SBS7000E, a Scania BR112DH with East Lancs bodywork, in 1982. Currently, SBS7888K is the only Scania model within the SBS Transit's fleet of double-deck buses which is largely made up of Volvo buses. 

Demonstrator SBS 7888K was registered on 26th March 2010, and further details are:-

- The bus is bodied by Gemilang Coachworks Sdn. Bhd.
- The engine used is the Scania DC918 engine which is Euro IV compliant. It has a capacity of 8867cc, similar to that of the existing Euro IV Scania K230UBs. The engine is coupled to a ZF 6HP602CN transmission.
- Hanover EDS is chosen for the destination display.
- Aircon is provided by Carrier.
- It has a seating layout of H55/28D with one wheelchair bay.
