| In a ceremony on 16th September
2010, the first Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL was handed over to SBS
Transit. The event also marked the successful completion of the first locally-produced
vehicle, as well as confirmation of a further order for 300 similar buses.
The initial order for 150 buses was placed in August 2009. the first being a fully assembled example with the remaining being in kit form, to be assembled in Singapore by CDGE (ComfortDelGro Engineering). All are to be fitted with Euro V emission standard engines. |

| Photographed during late October 2010 is SBS7500D operating a test run around Hougang Estate, believed to be on driver familiarisation. It is the completely built up demonstrator unit with Hong Kong specifications, notably the Roadshow cover on the upper deck windscreen. | |

| The first examples entered service on 1st November 2010 operating routes 60, 185 and also premium route 585. SBS7505R operated on route 60 and SBS7501B and SBS7506M on route 185. | |
