batch of thirty-four 10.1 metre Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts
delivered new to New World First Bus in January and February 1999.
It was registered on 7th January 1999 and only remained in service for
just over a year, being retired on 11th January 2000., after which it
was shipped back to the UK.
Back in the UK it was converted to single door (B32F layout) by First PMT and allocated the fleet no 301.
In
early 2002 it was renumbered 40032 and moved to First Edinburgh. In
March 2003 it was again renumbered, this time to 40956, and moved to
First Devon & Cornwall in Plymouth. In November 2010 it moved to
First Hampshire and Dorset.
By August 2014 it was with First
Berkshire before being withdrawn from service on 23rd October 2015 and
was acquired by Dave Rogers on 17th November 2015, well known for his
work on the preservation of buses from the far-east.
