As reported yesterday, the Cars Workshop KMB Enviro 500 (39401) was released in Hong Kong today. Some new photographs have been added to the appropriate page and more will follow tomorrow.

A final reminder that tomorrow is the last day to vote for your Favourite New Casting of 2004 and Favourite Livery of 2004. It is reported on the ChannelNewsAsia website that SBS Transit has placed an order with Volvo for 150 new double-deck buses, the deal being worth $£60m. For further information click here.

New photos of some the Dennis Tridents recently transferred from new World First Bus to KCRC have been added to the Xtra pages of the site, as well as news of some former Citybus Olympians recently acquired by a private operator here in the UK.

It's been reported that KMB's Volgren bodied Volvo B9TL demonstrator - AVD1 (LJ7006) - will be returned to Volvo's dealer by mid-December. Bus Fan World organised a dedicated farewell tour for this bus on Sunday 12th December 2004, a photo of which is included above.

Thanks to regular visitor Carl Bentley, I have been able to add details of the above KMB resin Leyland Service Vehicle from the Hong Kong Model Co. to the Resin section of the site. Follow the link for more details. 

I was deeply shocked and saddened to read on the Diecast Buses Interactive Group today that Gerry Brown, the site founder and owner, unexpectedly passed away last night.

Gerry was the driving force behind this hugely successful group, which has gone from strength to strength since it's formation in April 2001.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to his wife Christine and daughters Laura and Sarah, and I do this on behalf of all the visitors to this site. Needless to say, our thoughts and prayers are with them, and the rest of his family, at this sad time.

Now available in Hong Kong is the Airport Limousine liveried Hino S'elega from Creative Master Northcord (JB2004).

I have received an unconfirmed report of a new model, a CMB Guy Arab Mk V bus, fleet no. S4, with the background of Shek O bus terminus.
