I am reliably informed that Citybus will release a new 1:76 model featuring Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 fleet no. 8100, with Euro 4 advertisements, as applied to the actual bus. It's been reported that this model, with the destination of 'Shenzhen Bay Port, B3', is scheduled to be released at around Christmas time. Further photographs of the actual vehicle can be found on the Xtra pages of the site, just follow the link.

My thanks to Dennis Chan for sending me photographs of each version of the newly announced 312 Model resin Dennis Dominator. I understand that decals will be provided with each model. It is believed DM1 will come with extra large KMB logos without the slogan whilst DM18 will come with the standard-large logos as well as a pair of 'Voith Automatic' labels. Further photographs will be added shortly.

Following yesterday's news, I am informed that Model Bus Evolution has changed its name to Model Bus Revolution. I also understand that this model (MB112) has not been commissioned by New World First Bus, nor will it be distributed by them. It has, however, been licensed by them. It is limited to 1,680 pieces and is expected to be released later this month.

80M Bus Model Shop has confirmed that the second release of the Drumwell KMB Scania K310UD casting will feature Fleet no. ASU2 (DW10802). It is limited to 2,000 pieces and is expected to be released later this month.

During a visit to Borders Bookshop today I noticed that Buses Yearbook 2009 is now available. A quick browse through the pages and I came across is a feature on Hong Kong buses - 10 Years On. Further details of the book can be found on the Ian Allan website. That's one Christmas present, for me anyway, sorted!

Moving away from Hong Kong buses, and also moving on to WH Smith, I came across a copy of the latest (I believe) Bus and Coach Preservation magazine, which featured an article on the last Bristol LHS chassis, delivered new to Bere Regis and District in 1983, an operator local to me. Unfortunately the company, and their unique livery, are no longer in existence, but I did come across this vehicle in Swanage last year.

In the same magazine I also came across a photo of DAE 511K, an ex-Bristol Omnibus Bristol RELL, owned by my friend Denis Strange. The above photos shows the vehicle having just emerged from an overhaul and repaint.

I suggest you take a look at Donald's Victory Guy Gallery where owner Donald MacRae has recently rescanned the 35 mm slides taken on his first trip to Hong Kong thirteen years ago, in October 1995. This link will take you direct to the pages in question.
