The above photograph gives a glimpse of the forthcoming Mitsubishi Fuso Mk117J from Cars Workshop (92703), which is expected to be released on 28th November.

Set for release later this month are three resin KMB Dennis Dragons from 312 Model. They are, from left to right, fleet no. 3N132 (DK 319) on route 43X to Yiu On, fleet no. 3N104 (DJ 6533) on route 1A to Star Ferry and fleet no. 3N96 (DJ 6962) on route 6C to Kowloon City Ferry. It is believed each is limited to 500 pieces (total quantity is 500 - see above) and will retail for HK$428. 


 
A site well worth visiting is BUSME, the owner of which informs me that he has owned a shop for some time and besides selling products, he also produces tailor made bus ads or colours for existing bus models - just take a look at some examples!

 
The Conservancy Association Centre for Heritage (CACHe) is organising a historic photo exhibition between 20th November and 15th January, focusing on the historical developments along Star Ferry Bus Terminus and the nearby areas throughout the years. Further information regarding to the exhibition can be seen here - (link no longer available).

The first is this Young Man single-decker for Park Island Transport. I believe this to be similar to those recently delivered to New Lantau Bus. This entered service last week and a new page has been added to the Click here to visit the Xtra pages section of the site.

Set for release in Hong Kong tomorrow is this Kowloon Motor Bus Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (39411). It features ATEU5 (NX 3426) on route 968 to Yuen Long West and is limited to 2,000 pieces - it was first reported on this site on 13th October.

My thanks to Grant Ng Kwok Kuen for sending me photographs of the first of the ten new Young Man single-deckers for New Lantau Bus. It has entered service on route 38 between Tung Chung MTR Station and Tung Chung (Yat Tung Estate). He also advises that both the body and chassis are built by Young Man in China (Chinese name is 'Ching Lin Coach'), and it is not built on a MAN chassis - only the engine is a MAN. During Eco Expo Asia 2010, which is being held at Asia World Expo between 3rd - 6th November, Chinese bus manufacturer, Great Dragon, is displaying one of their SDL6120EVG electric buses, with another allocated for public trial rides scheduled between 1100 and 1630 on Saturday 6th. The above photograph was taken during the first day of the event, which mainly targets towards the media as well as trade visitors.

Still on the subject of real buses, New Lantau Bus has taken delivery of a new Young Man bodied MAN single-decker, which has been allocated the fleet number MN79. I hope to add further details in due course.

 
The Network Shuttle Facebook page gives details of two new resin KMB Leyland Olympians.

Dave also advises that at the press briefing, Alexander Dennis Ltd confirmed an order, from NWS Holdings, for thirty-eight two-axle Enviro400s.

Singapore news dominates today's update.

SBS Transit

SBS Transit officially put its first Volvo B9TLs with Wrights bodywork into service today (1 November), with services 60, 185 and also Premium 585 being the first to operate them. SBS7505R operated on route 60 and SBS7501B and SBS7506M on route 185.

Service 60 operates between Eunos to Bedok, Service 185 operates between Soon Lee Depot and Buona Vista Terminal and Premium 585 operates from Eunos/Kaki Bukit to Shenton Way. This service operates for one trip in the morning only.

SMRT Buses

The Yutong ZK6126 demonstrator, SMB 0135E, was said to have been withdrawn from service and sent back to China.

Meanwhile, SMRT is to trial more demonstrators later, one of which is of the Zhongtong model. The Zhongtong was earlier seen bearing the registration of SMB 0137A.
