Double deck buses are still operating between Diamond Hill MTR and Hong Kong University of Science and technology. My thanks to Bobby Liu for the photograph and information.

My thanks to BUSME for providing me with news of an event they are staging, in conjunction with Buses Model Co., on Sunday 12th August along with an update on their forthcoming Dennis Dragon models.

Click on image for larger photograph

The 4th Model Bus show will take place between 2.30pm and 6.30pm on Sunday 12th August. Admission is HK$35 and tickets are available from BUSME. Apart from the usual features, this year they have  invited Buses Model Co. to be their special guest, and they will exhibit some special and interesting models and also judge the best model creation for the participator and will also sponsor some prizes.

An update on the Dennis Dragon model, GA6479, is that BUSME, whilst using an existing casting, are attempting to enhance some details, and after receiving the pre-production model, are still carrying out revisions. Photos sent to me do confirm an improved level of detail. As these revisions are taking time, they have postponed the launch date, and it is now anticipated that it will be released in August, and not September as reported last week.

It is understood the casting is one-piece and includes several improvements and new features compared to Drumwell's. It is rumoured that the first release will feature 'Hong Kong - Asia's World City' livery - yes please!!!! Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
