3ASV100 has received all-over advertising for the 'Journey with you'
exhibition and carries little evidence of its owner.
Issue 68 of Bus Fan World's
'Bus Focus' has now been published and contains the usual fleet and
route news plus articles on the UK Bus Expo 2012, Euro Bus Expo, the
new Enviro500, the all new Cityflyer, KMB's BYD K9A electric
single-decker, the buses of KMB, former Hong Kong buses now in
Australia, preserved China Motor Bus LM10 in the UK, plus lots
more, making a total number of 94 pages, all in colour.

Set for release in Hong
Kong on
Friday (27th) are these two 80th Anniversary Kowloon Motor Bus models
from Drumwell. DW10515 (top) features Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo
B9TL AVBWU252 on route 102 to Shau Kei Wan. This is limited to 1,088
pieces. DW10516 (bottom) again features a Gemini 2, this time
AVBWU253, on route 6C to Kowloon City Ferry. This is limited
to
1,288 pieces.
The Hongkong Post gift
set featuring three Enviro500s (see News
7th July 2013) is now believed to have been issued. The Citybus example
features 8128 on route 619 to Macau Ferry whilst the KMB example
features ATEE5 on route 47X. Details of the New World First model are
not yet known.
With effect from 28th
September, KMB are cancelling route 66.

register their 12-metre Enviro500NGs with ATENU106 being
registered yesterday, according the the excellent Across
website.
Pictured
above is ATENU93, seen earlier today operating route 307 (Tai Po
Central - Central Ferry Piers). It is believed this route will
soon be operated solely by these new buses.

eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival
Tramric
are to release three further tram sets (in addition to the
green liveried set released in July). TR031 features tram no.
172
in a tram safety livery, TR032 features tram no. 18 in a HK Tramways
recruitment livery whilst TR033 features tram no. 72 in M+R Spedag
Group 25th anniversary livery.

time it is a Gemilang bodied Scania K320UD, belonging
to
Ritchies of New Zealand, which is set to make an appearance at
the
Sydney Bus Show in two weeks time.

Hong Kong's first
franchised
battery-powered electric bus entered service today
following an official ceremony this morning
at the Star
Ferry Bus Terminus. The bus operated route 2 between Star Ferry and So
Uk. The official KMB press release can be viewed here.

Following the
recent news
of the new double-deckers in Australian, my thanks to Stephen Cho for
providing me with details of an announcement made back in June that
double-deck buses are planned to be introduced in Wellington, New
Zealand towards the end of the year. Mana and Newlands Coach Services
hope to be in possession of its first custom-made double deckers which
will run on its Newlands and Churton Park routes. It will be the first
time double-deck buses will have operated in Wellington.

for the Hong Kong Museum of History's themed

Further to yesterdays news on the new double-deckers in Sydney, I am
grateful to Tim Williams for providing details of this month's BusNSW
(Bus Proprietors' Association of NSW) magazine which includes an
article on Custom and Alexander Dennis Ltd developing a new
Enviro500 double-deck bus for the Australian, New Zealand and Maylasian
markets with a release date set for the second half of 2014. The new
bus is 2.5m wide, 4.2m high and 12.5m long.

It is confirmed that
Buses Model
Co. are to release this St John Ambulance liveried Volvo Olympian,
which
was first mentioned on this site in November last
year. It is
believed two versions will be released - one on route 16 to
Lam
Tin (Kwong Tin Estate) (888 pieces) and the second on route 16
to
Mong Kok (Park Avenue) (500 pieces).
