Released yesterday in Hong Kong is this Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Fleetline carrying road safety campaign decals, similar to that carried by the Buses Model Co. Dennis Jubilant released last year (BDC20083). Produced by Go Idea, I believe the bus featured is D940 (BN 8322) and it is on route 2E. It is limited to 380 pieces (JA526003). 20th February 2017

Model 1 have announced they will release models of two New Lantao Bus Duple Metsec Dennis Tridents. Fleet no. DN4 (HS6714) is on route 38 (63404) whilst fleet no. DN5 (HS7326) is on route B2X (63405). 18th February 2017

Network Shuttle are presently taking orders for this Citybus Enviro500NG 8481 (TE 8311) which carries all-over advertising for 'Weisen U' medicine. News of this model was announced back on 12th January. It is produced by Model 1 and is on route 102 to Shau Kei Wan - it is limited to 688 pieces (63313/CM119). 11th February 2017

Three new models have been announced, all featuring New World First Bus 12.8 metre 'facelift' Enviro500s. They are:- Fleet no. 6103
(UM 8832) on route 8P to Siu Sai Wan (20061)
Fleet no. 6104 (UN 2037) on route 2A to Wan Chai North (20062) and Fleet no. 6112 (UN 8320) on route 82X to Quarry Bay (20063) Each is limited to 800 pieces and their release is expected in March. My thanks to regular contributor Philip Chan for providing photographs of two of the actual buses to be modelled, on the same route! 10th February 2017

Scotch 3M (Hong Kong) appear to have a promotion that involves four Scotch liveried Gemini bodied Volvos - I am unable to ascertain the exact details but here is a link to the appropriate page (link no longer available). Update 8th February My thanks to Philip Chan for providing a general explanation of the above - Participants who buy more than HK$300 Scotch product can post the invoice to redeem one of the bus models. Since there are only 200 models available, if there are more than 200 participants, models will be allocated according to the monetary amount of the invoice. |
