The Peak Tram was temporarily suspended on Tuesday, 23rd April for around 2-3 months whilst an upgrade project is carried out. As a result, New World First Bus (NWFB) introduced a new route, the X15, which runs non-stop between Admiralty and The Peak. This has meant NWFB utilising the majority of its low-height Enviro400s, usually operating on routes 9 and 14, for this new temporary route.

My thanks to Philip Chan and Bobby Liu for providing the 'real' bus news from Hong Kong.

Totally off-topic (but that's just one of the advantages of being the site owner!) is the above photograph of Bournemouth Corporation trolleybuses at the Pier Approach on 19th April 1969 - the last day of trolleybus operation in the town.

There is, of course, a link between the town and a certain Hong Kong bus operator - no prizes for guessing!

Another anniversary is celebrated tomorrow, this being the 15th anniversary of the opening of MSD Bus shop in the Apple Mall at Tin Hau. Only last week did a visitor to my site ask for help in locating a certain model and within a couple of days,
MSD Bus had located one - and the same story has been repeated many times over the years - well done Jacky.

Released in Hong Kong today are the two versions of Kowloon Motor Bus liveried ECW bodied Leyland Olympian 3BL1 from P&T Model (DC1026 and DC1027).
