The prototype Dennis Trident has been acquired by a private individual based in Hong Kong and it is presently about to commence it's long sea journey. The bus features in the Click here to visit the Xtra pages section of the site, dating from 2007. To re-cap, whilst it carries a then new Alexander ALX500 body, it was fitted with an 'R' type front as it is believed the front of the ALX500 had still to be finalised. It was initially registered M539 URX and was taken to Dennis with no interior to be used as a test bed.

Continuing the Citybus 40th anniversary theme, new and old!

Island Vintage Bus, a group of Hong Kong bus enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation of vintage vehicles and related archive documents, has today announced in has been presented with the very first air-conditioned China Motor Bus double-decker,
Dennis Condor DA1.  The bus is presently in the UK and Island Vintage Bus has launched a crowd-funding campaign to meet the cost of shipping her back to Hong Kong. To donate, just follow this link (link no longer available).

DA1 has never been modelled in 1/76th scale, the closest to it being DA2, released in June 2001 and the first joint venture between Drumwell and Cars Workshop (38601).

It has, however, appeared in 'QB' form, a limited edition release commissioned by the Hong Kong Transport Society and produced by Jotus.com
