These two Corgi Olympians arrived from Hong Kong today, albeit over 20 years after their release!  Whilst the 'BusPak' example is a well-known 'rarity', the Kowloon Motor Bus 'Reunification' liveried model may easily be mistaken for a general release (see 43207), unless you place them side by side! I first posted a photograph of this model back in September 2006.

This photograph shows the general release version on the left and today's arrival on the right. This latest addition was issued as a gift for customers of KMB to celebrate the 'Handover'. A certificate is included, (see below), however, there is no mention of quantities. Details have been added to the model page (43207).

Recently published in 'PIN-UP Magazine', an online Hong Kong based magazine for Architectural Entertainment, is this above article on the Shek O Bus Terminus. A very interesting read which includes several photographs of the actual terminus and the diorama issued by Best Choose back in 2005. My special thanks to Philip Chan, who greatly assisted Emily in her research and to Donald MacRae and Dave Rogers for allowing the use of their photographs. Thanks of course to Emily Verla Bovino for her excellent article and for all her research.

In assisting Emily with regard to providing photographs of the diorama, for which the photographs taken by Philip Chan have been used, I attempted to locate someone with an easily accessible model of the Best Choose diorama for some further shots - all to no avail. Then, with the release of Tiny's Citybus liveried Enviro400 a week or two ago, Singson Wong posted a photograph of one of these models on the diorama!!!

Having contacted Singson, he kindly sent me a selection of photographs, including the one above, which 'updates' the bus model included by Best Choose, this being a China Motor Bus Guy Arab Mk V!

I then asked if he could provide shots of the terminus itself, and sure enough these have been received today, for which I am very grateful to Singson - all of which will be added shortly.
