The model - this is one of six 1/76 scale models announced by Kowloon Motor Bus on 8th February 2026. It was released three days later on 11th February.

The bus -  this bus was originally fleet number ASU4 in the Kowloon Motor Bus fleet, being one of a batch of 20 such vehicles to enter service in January 2010 following the trials of prototypes ASU1 and ASU2.  It was subsequently transferred to the Sun Bus fleet.
