The model - this model is based on Corgi's standard release, first issued in early 2003. The radiator area has been modified, thus representing the vehicle in its later life with a KMB style grille. It was released in Hong Kong on 20th December 2003 and in September 2004 the model became available in the UK.

The bus - in 1973 KMB acquired several batches of AEC Regent V from various UK operators, which were numbered in the 2Axx Fleet No. series. A batch of six were acquired from Yorkshire Woollen District, one of which was 2A26, a MCCW (Metropolitan Cammell Carriage and Wagon Company) bodied example. This entered service in July 1973, and the model is based on the vehicle at this time, as it was rebodied in February 1977 by KMB. It was the last of the whole batch of 28 to be withdrawn in 1983.
