- a surprise release on 10th May 2012, with no previous announcements,
is this Big Bus Ankai. Issued at the same time as the UK version (80871A), this model is limited to 1,500 pieces. This version appears to represent the prototype more accurately than the UK version.
The bus
- this
bus was the first Chinese built double-decker to enter service in
Hong Kong. It was also the first new open-topper to operate in Hong
Kong. Built by Anhui Ankai Automobile Limited Company
for Big Bus Hong Kong, it arrived in late November 2009 and received
the registration FX5737. Three further examples arrived during 2010.
