The model - Cars Workshop released their first Daimler 'E' in August 2003, and the model represents a vehicle post 1982, when the new livery of red skirt and roof with cream between was introduced, along with the now familiar KMB logo.

The bus - D427 (AD7333) was one of the 200 Daimler CVG6LX-34 buses purchased by KMB between 1969 and 1972, being classified by KMB as their 'Daimler E' class. D427 was first registered on 1 February 1972, and was withdrawn in February 1989 before being sold to Stagecoach for further service in Malawi.

My thanks to Dennis Law for the above information.
