China Motor Bus

The model - this model was announced on 18th March 2003, and was released in Hong Kong a week later. I believe the destination should read Cleverly St. and not Cleverley St.

The bus - LF9 was one of the first batch of 30 Daimler Fleetlines with Metal Sections bodywork, which entered service between January and May 1974. They were commonly known as 'Jumbos'. When new, these buses were fitted with a small destination screen and single track route number blind. LF9 carries the 'Jump on a Jumbo' slogan, and an experimental CMB logo. LF9 was withdrawn in June 1992 and later scrapped.

The above information has been extracted from the excellent reference book 'Hong Kong Buses - China Motor Bus',
by Mike Davis and published by DTS Publishing.
A photograph of the actual vehicle can also be found in this book.
