| The model -
the first and only release from the Model Express Company is this
Dennis Dominator SD3, which was released in Hong Kong on 26th October 2000.
Unfortunately the destination on the model is incorrect. It reads Siu San
Wan, when in fact it should read Siu Sai Wan.
The bus
- like the other 5 CMB 'Short Dominators', SD3 was primarily used
on Route 15 to The Peak (as shown in the photo below), its low height necessary
for clearing the low Mount Kellet Road bridge on the way. New World First
Bus, who took over Route 15 from China Motor Bus, now operate low-height
10.3 metre Dennis Tridents on this route. (The lower photograph shows sister
vehicle SD6 just managing that!). |
