The model - following closely on the heels of the two 80M Model Bus Shop 11-metre China Motor Bus Dennis Condors, was the release, 14th October 2014, of a Kowloon Motor Bus air-conditioned version. A nice touch is the blue 'air-conditioned' slip board placed in the front nearside windscreen. Nigel Eadon-Clarke's photograph, taken in October 1990, appears in Mike Davis's book 'The Buses of Kowloon Motor Bus' shows this arrangement.

The bus - as part of KMB's dual-sourcing policy, the company took delivery of one Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Dragon for evaluation purposes. It was first registered in April 1990 and was later allocated the fleet number AD1. A total of 360 examples entered service between 1990 and 1997.
