| The model
- This model is one of 800 specially commissioned by 80M Bus Model Shop,
and is based on the first Collector's Model 10.4m Dragon (CM-DGS-001),
with the fitting of booms. It was released in May 2001. I managed to
obtain this model in November 2023, albeit it is missing its driver's
side mirror and it came without a box.
The bus
- In 2001/2, Citybus carried out trials with Dennis Dragon 701, having
converted it into a trolleybus! I was fortunate enough to have a ride on
the trolleybus when I visited Wong Chuk Hang Depot in November 2002, and
am very grateful to the two Citybus employees, pictured below, for their
courtesy, willingness to explain the complexities of the bus and especially
for allowing me to ride the test track. |
