| The model
- a further release of Citybus 'CityFlyer' Duple Metsec, this time with
details of the route, City - Airport, in white lettering on the top deck
front side windows. This version is a Hong Kong release only, although
a number have been available at a few Corgi Gold Star stockists. This
vehicle was the subject of 1/150th scale model from 80M Bus Model Shop
in the same livery (150703).
The bus
- when the new Hong Kong International Airport opened on 6th July 1998,
Citybus introduced a network of routes using the CityFlyer brand name,
to connect the new airport with Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Fleet No
2138 is one of over 150 Duple Metsec bodied Tridents purchased to cater
for these extra services. It entered service on 16 June 1998. |
