The model - news of this new casting came on 7th May 2019 and an official announcement came three days later on 10th May. Three models are planned, including this version, the others representing 3330 and 3351. Details of their release are presently awaited.

The bus - New World First Bus took delivery of two batches of these short, low height Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Tridents, the first between December 1999 and March 2000 (40) and the second between July and September 2002 (20). These are the first air-conditioned double-deckers to operate route 15 to The Peak, which has a height restriction under Mount Kellett Road bridge. They are also used for other routes which require a shorter length bus, including routes 9 and 14.

These buses were retired in 2017/18 and replaced with 60 low height Alexander Dennis Enviro400s.
