The model - once Best Choose had produced the China Motor Bus version of the ECW Olympian (04062), it was only a matter of time before the KMB version was modelled, and this was announced in KMB Today in September 2004 and reported on this site on 10 September. The model represents the vehicle in it's early years, as in 1983/4 it was repainted into the all-over cream livery. The model was released in Hong Kong on 5th November 2004.

The bus - in 1980 KMB ordered three of Leyland's new chassis, the Olympian, for evaluation purposes. All three were 10.3metre length models. Bodywork was ECW's standard lowheight style, but featured full-depth opening windows and the usual narrow front entrance.
