The model - news of this model was first announced on the 80M Bus Model Shop website on 30th July 2009. KMB officially announced two models (see 92302) would be released in the October edition of 'KMB Today'. Both were released on Sunday 28th February 2010 

The bus - Kowloon Motor Bus introduced one-hundred and fifty 11-metre air conditioned Leyland Olympians into its fleet between 1990 and 1993. These buses were equipped with the powerful Cummins LT10 engine and could carry 130 passengers. They operated mainly on the Kowloon urban routes and highway routes such as the 1, 1A, 6, 68X and 74X. Several were fitted with luggage racks and these operated on the Kai Tak airport route at weekends and public holidays. AL50 entered service on 9th October 1991.
