The model - first announced in Corgi's 'Into the Millennium' Catalogue with a release date of November 1999, this Leyland Victory Mk2 subsequently appeared in the October - December 2000 catalogue. It was actually released in Hong Kong in June 2000. 

The bus - LV36 was one of 147 such vehicles purchased by China Motor Bus between October 1979 and October 1981. It entered service in October 1980 and was withdrawn on 15th November 1998, at which time it was part of the New World First Bus (NWFB) fleet. It is estimated that during it's arduous life in Hong Kong the bus covered 0.9 million miles. It was kindly donated by NWFB to the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in Dunfermline.
