The model - First announced in June 2000, this model carrying Bridgestone all-over advertising was eventually released in Hong Kong on 1st August 2000.

The bus - Kowloon Motor Bus took delivery of over 500 Leyland Victory Mk 2 buses between May 1979 and February 1983. They were numbered G5-544. G5-G155 featured an external sliding driver's cab door. Later batches featured an internal sliding driver's cab door.  G346-543 saw the removal of the radiator filler cap just below the windscreen and a deeper windscreen than the earlier batches. G224 was first registered on 17th September 1980.
