The model - in August 2018, Model 1 announced plans to release five further Citybus MAN NL262/R. This follows the announcement in June 2018 of five similar models which were released in January 2019. The five feature 1546, 1501, 1561, 1565 and 1569 and they were all released on 27th February 2019. 

The bus
Citybus purchased sixty of these single-deckers in 1998 and they were allocated fleet numbers 1501-1560. A further twenty were added in 2000 (1561-1580). The last 11 of the batch were sold in 2004/5 to New Lantao Bus, Discovery Bay Transport and one to an operator in New Zealand. In 2006, 1560-1569 underwent modifications which included the removal of the centre exit doors and the fitting of luggage racks, and emerged in Cityflyer colours, ready for the launch of the new Cityflyer route A10 from Aberdeen to the airport.
