The model - This MAN A95 (Euro 6) die-cast model was launched by Knackstop on 12th December 2020. It features SG2016M with a destination of LTA-SGBus. An unlicensed version of the same bus was issued in Hong Kong back in June 2019 and this carried no operators's logos and was presented in a plain white box - further details can be found here.

Knackstop, a retail arm set up by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), sells a collection of public transport-inspired keepsakes and souvenirs. The MAN A95 (Euro 6) is its second die-cast bus model to be put on sale, retailing at S$92. An earlier version of the MAN A95 was first sold by Knackstop in 2017 - see 63209.  Comparison photographs showing the differences between the two official releases will be uploaded shortly.

As mentioned above, the model went on sale at 1200hrs on 12th December 2020. By 1240hrs the same day, the bus model was sold out
on both the Lazada and Shopee platforms. The model was released on Lazada at 1200hrs, and on Shopee at around 1230hrs, with an estimated 60 bus models on each platform. Both were sold out within 10 minutes of release.

My thanks to Land Transport Guru for the above information.

On 15th December Knackstop issued the following statement on social media:-

On 19th January, a further batch of models were released and these too have sold out.

The busThis model represents one of the 122 units purchased by the Land Transport Authority. It reflects the newer bodywork design which was present only in newer versions of the batch. As of June 2017, buses of this bodywork variant have not entered revenue service. The registration number – SG2016M – was likely picked for the Singapore context and does not accurately reflect an actual registration. Buses of this type are registered SG5800M to SG5920A & SG2017C.

A comparison  between the first official release in 2017 and the latest release in 2020/21.
The older one is always on the left, the 2020 release in on the right

Noticeable differences are the addition of a
second wheelchair bay on the nearside, and a big TV screen on the upper deck. There are now correctly styled ticket machines and validators, and there is a lot more signage.

Thanks to Simon Ayres for the above information and photographs below.
