The model - The second Hong Kong Metrobus from Corgi appeared in the distinctive colours of K&CRC.

The bus - This was one of a batch of 31 Mk2 Metrobuses "delivered" in 1987. In fact the bodies were assembled from completely knocked down kits by MCW engineers and their contractors in Hong Kong. The model is inaccurate as the prototype had dual entrance/exit doors, together with full depth sliding windows. Eight further vehicles were added in 1988.

In October 1988, to cater for increased services following the introduction of the Light Rail Transit (LRT), 20 Mk I Metrobuses dating from 1980 were purchased from South Yorkshire PTE, with the assistance of MCW.
