The model
- One of two versions of China Motor Bus ML1 announced towards the end of August 2015. This version represents the
bus in later life, with a 'black on white'
front number plate located beneath the drivers windscreen, the
asymmetrical front grille, no CMB emblem above the front destination. The second (BMC01116) features the bus as delivered, with the CMB emblem above the front destination
screen, a 'white on red' front number plate located on the nearside of
the front bumper and in my opinion a 'neat' front grille and differing driving mirrors. No release date is currently known.

The bus
- MCW Super Metrobuses ML1 and ML2 were the first of six trial buses to
be used by China Motor Bus for evaluation purposes. ML1 was delivered in
May 1981, with ML2 following in late October that same year. Upon it's
withdrawal from service, it was shipped to Australia for City Sightseeing
duties.
ML1 has since been acquired for preservation,
and the following Xtra
page shows the same vehicle on 26th January 2007, Australia Day, operating
a special shuttle service in Sydney.
