The second Creative Master Northcord release, and the first Mitsubishi Fuso Non-Step City Bus, represents a vehicle in the Japanese fleet of Tokyo Toei Bus (Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau). It carries advertisements on the sides for Busrama International, whilst the rear ad is for Northcord Transport!
Busrama International, which is published bi-monthly, is the only magazine in Japan devoted solely to buses. It was first published in 1990 with the aim of "creating buses that are more superior as tools for our daily living from the passengers' standpoint." The wide variety of it's content include information about the new vehicles, bus equipment, components, and various bus systems, the trends of the bus operators as well as the whole bus industry, along with the history of the vehicles, information from abroad, and exchange of information among the bus enthusiasts.
My thanks to the Webmaster of Japan Bus Explorer for providing information on this model.
I am very grateful to Alex Lok for providing the following information:-
Registration Number/Mark.
There are two parts on every registration
number/mark in Japan, no matter what type of vehicle it is (bus, private
car, truck, etc. ). The first part is the location it was first registered
and the sequence number that location is allocated. For this bus, it
is "Shinnagawa-200". The second part is the sequence number (in 4-digit)
with a prefix. Usually, the prefix is not important. For this
bus, the second part is "246".
Route Number
The Route Number is "Tokyo 01", that is
the "01" route within Tokyo.
Destination
This bus is heading to "Shibuya Station"
from "Roppongi". However, as seen from the back, the route runs between
"Shibuya Station" and "Shimbashi Station".
