The model - following the release in April 2013 of this new casting in Old Master Q livery, it was only a matter of time before a standard liveried example was issued. On 24th April confirmation came with the announcement that two versions of AVC48 would be released on 8th May, one on route 78K (this version) and the other on route 273 (94003). Each is limited to 900 pieces.  

The bus - In 2009 Kowloon Motor Bus placed an order for 40 MCV bodied Volvo B7RLEs for use on lower capacity routes. These were delivered between January and August 2010. A further batch of 30 similar buses were delivered between December 2011 and May 2012. AVC48 is one of the second batch, being registered on 14th February 2012. The following page in the Click here to visit the Xtra pages section of the site provides further details on this class.
