The model - two versions of this model, both featuring VA36, but on different routes, were announced on 26th October 2017 and they were released in Hong Kong on 10th November.  

The bus - China Motor Bus took delivery of sixty-four Alexander bodied Volvo Olympians between September 1994 and 1998. VA36 was one of a batch of twenty delivered between June and August 1996, being registered on 8th July 1996. All passed to New World First Bus on 1st September 1998
