The model - announced in mid October 2011, the third model version of AV1 was released on 30th October. 

The busAV1 was the first Volvo Olympian to be fitted with air-conditioning and the first to be delivered to KMB. It arrived completely built up in the autumn of 1993, having been bodied by Alexanders in Falkirk, Scotland. It was registered FW5572 on 10th January 1994. It carried a Volvo emblem on the radiator grille and featured low level fog lights set into the front bumper. Its headlight surrounds were painted black. Subsequent deliveries commenced in August 1994, these being shipped in kit form and assembled in Hong Kong. The final delivery was in the shape of AV531, which was registered on 7th September 1998.
