The model - this is one of two Volvo Olympians announced by Kowloon Motor Bus on 2nd March 2023 and released on 5th March, the second being a Long Win Bus example featuring fleet no. LW9 (KMB2023002).

The bus - Kowloon Motor Bus introduced three-hundred and forty-eight 12-metre air-conditioned Volvo Olympians (3AV class) into its fleet from 1994 to 1998 to enhance the quality of its bus services.  3AV310 was first registered on 7th August 1997 and was retired on 6th August 2015.
