The model - Corgi initially allocated the product code of this model to Kowloon Motor Bus and the model, which was due to be released in June 1998, was to carry Long Win 'Airbus' white/red livery (for details follow this link). This model was subsequently cancelled and the product code was allocated to the first of three New World First Bus Volvo Olympians, all of which carried cryptic between-decks banner adverts for the operator. Noticeable differences between the preproduction and production can clearly be seen in the photographs below.

In addition to the above differences, it has been noted that there are differences in the production versions, noteably the number
of inward facing seats over the front near side wheelarch, as indicated in the photograph below.
