SBS Transit will soon be receiving a Volvo B5RH hybrid bus bodied by Volgren (CR228L type body) and it has been registered as SBS8002T, seen above on its test run without livery but with SBS plate. The existence of this bus was revealed way earlier in September 2014 via this "Road Traffic Act (CHAPTER 276) Road Traffic (Volvo Diesel Hybrid Bus Trial) (Exemption) Order 2014" It's the first flip dot signage equipped Volgren bodied bus to enter service since the introduction of wheelchair accessible buses using orange LED signage in Singapore. It was originally wheelchair accessible though the ramp was removed for reasons explained below. The interior as of now is to Australian operator specs and may change. This unit was also displayed at the Australian Bus & Coach Show 2013 according to information. According to this statute, this bus is "used by SBST or Volvo during the conduct of the Volvo Diesel Hybrid Bus Trial for the purposes of testing and developing the use of diesel hybrid technology in omnibus operations" between 15 September 2014 to 14 September 2015 (both dates inclusive). However the bus was registered on 17th Feb 2015, and has still not entered service as of yesterday. This bus is only allowed to run on SBST bus service 143, 143A, 174, 174e, 185, 334 or 506 and the wheelchair ramp from the original specifications was removed. This is due to "where the DHB is used to provide any of the specified bus services, it is used as such only in place of an omnibus which is not constructed or adapted to provide access to wheelchair users". It is possible that this bus will not stay with SBS Transit further than the trial period. My thanks, as always, to Mark Chua for this detailed update. 27th February 2015

Further to the announcement below about a new flash drive from VMS (Vehicle Model Studio), I have today received the above sample. The 16GB drive takes the form of a Citybus Enviro500NG. It comes in an attractive silver presentation tin which has a perspex panel, showing off the drive, which sits in a foam insert, giving it perfect protection. The two lower photographs give a comparison in size with a 1/76 scale example (which is not included!). The drive retails for HK$100 and is available from VMS (Vehicle Model Studio). The postage cost to the UK for my sample totalled HK$30.10, recorded delivery. For those who don't have access to Facebook but are interested in acquiring one, please e-mail me and I can provide an e-mail contact.
Pictured above are two of four forthcoming Australian resin model releases from Transit Graphics. All feature natural gas powered Mercedes-Benz Citaro 0405NH. The first pair are in the colours of State Transit, OZBUS7100A representing fleet no. 2000 on route 500 to Ryde (top photograph) whilst the second, OZBUS7100B represents fleet no. 1254 on route 441 to Birchgrove via Anzac Bridge. The second pair are in the colours of NSW Transport and both feature fleet no. 1213. OZBUS7101A is on route 310 to Eastgardens via Botany Rd (bottom photograph) whilst OZBUS7101B is on route 4 to Sydney Olympic Park. Each version will be limited to 100 pieces. VMS Vehicle have produced this rather eye-catching flash drive, which has a capacity of 16GB and retails for HK$100. I hope to add further details shortly.
Two further 1/76 model releases from Best Choose are these Police and Fire Toyota Hiaces.
NHKB ordered a further five MAN NL323F with Malaysian Gemilang bodywork as a replacement of its remaining MAN NL263 commissioned in 2002. The first of the order was delivered in November last year and it was only in mid January that the first two entered service, these being fleet nos. 6 (TD5321) and 7 (TD5502), the latter noted at Lok Ma Chau on Sunday. It should be mentioned that this batch of NL323 are fitted with day lights whilst the five that entered service in 2013 did not. The New Hong Kong Bus page in the  section of the site has also been

Set for release in Hong Kong tomorrow are these two Year of the Goat Enviro500s models from 80M Bus Model Shop. Citybus 8268 (80821/CM079) is on route 118 to Siu Sai Wan whilst New World First Bus 5568 (80822/20045) is on route 720 to Central. Each is limited to 1,088 pieces. New pages have now been added.
China Model Bus today released this resin Albion Viking EVK55CL on route 65K to Sheung Tsuen (CMB001). China Model Bus is a small small cube shop located in Tai Po and further details can be found on their Facebook page. This Albion is based on the P&T casting. L303 (BM243) is an example which doesn't have fog lamps fitted. This model is limited to just 60 pieces. Further photographs will be added shortly.
