It has been announced
that Model
1 are to produce a model of China Motor Bus JitLuen bodied Volvo B6LE
VC1. It is believed to be a diecast model and further details will be
published when known.
In addition it is
believed that a resin model of a China Motor Bus Marshall bodied Dennis
Dart will be released by Automodel, this featuring CX3 in Airport
Express livery.

Released in Hong Kong
today is
this Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Olympian. Produced by Buses Model Co, it
features fleet no. S3BL312 (EA4158) on route 1 to Chuk Yuen Estate and
is limited to 1,200 pieces (BLK31501).

Discovery Bay has ordered
two
Scania K280IB4x2 with Marcopolo bodywork as a replacement for the
second hand Berkhof bodied MAN coach, and pictured above is one of
these.
This BYD K9 electric bus,
seen here laying over, looks set to join one Singapore
operator. The bus is said to be scheduled for inspection and testing
between April and July 2015. No further information is available at
this time.

and Arsenal, having secured promotion tonight.

Released on Thursday
(23rd) is this resin
model by China Model Bus, the second version of KMB Albion Viking
EVK55CL, the actual bus being preserved by KMB. Union Auto
Body built 32 Albion Viking EVK55CL, two examples
were
dispatched to a Macau operator in 1975 and the
remaining 30
(L279-L308) joined the KMB fleet in 1976. In 1985, KMB began
re-building their bodies and all these buses were retired in 1992.
After retirement KMB preserved L297 and after restoration it received
the lucky fleet number L308 (BM248).
This
model is based on this preserved bus and the quantity is limited to
only 98 pieces and further photographs will be added shortly.
Planned for release on Tuesday (28th) is this 11 metre KMB
Leyland Olympian.
Released this week,
having been
mentioned on 18th April, is this Best Choose 1/24 scale KMB Daimler DMS
(120301). It features fleet no. 2D87 (CP4715) on route 7 to Kowloon
Tong and is limited to 180 pieces.

Set for release tomorrow
in Hong
Kong is this Cars Workshop Kowloon Motor Bus Wrights Gemini 2 bodied
Volvo B9TL. It features AVBWU291 (SD9537) on route 68X to Hung Shui Kiu
(Hung Yuen Road) and is limited to 1,600 pieces. It is described as a
'detailed version'. A new page and further photographs have now been
added (96601).
Another new model, but
this time to a scale of 1:64 and featuring a pull-back motor,
is KMB Enviro500, ATENU70.
As reported below, Best
Choose will
release the 1:24 scale KMB DMS, which is limited to 180 pieces and is
expected to retail for HK$2700.

I am reliably
informed that another HO scale train model will be released in
mid-June. It is an MTR SP1900, used on the East and West Rail
Lines with a frontal
design resembling a bullet train. It is again
produced by 80M and similar to the previous release, the first
1,500 pieces will be reserved for MTR staff.
The page in the Xtra
section that features the recently retired Citybus MAN /Volgren has
tonight been updated.

A few days away
from the computer has resulted in a backlog of news, and a brief
summary is as follows:-
Citybus's unique Volgren
CR221LD
bodied MAN 24.350, fleet no. 2500 was retired yesterday and the above
photograph shows Corgi's model carrying this unique livery,
which I considered quite simple but attractive.
Having received a number
of interior
shots of the new Citybus Youngman single-deckers (see below), a new
page will shortly be added to the Xtra section.
The 22 April will see the
release of this 'detailed' version of a KMB Wrights Gemini 2 bodied
Volvo B9TL.
Published back
on the 26th
March was a photograph of a Fulltech Daimler 'D' type and it is
confirmed that this is one of two versions now released. I hope to add
further details in due course.
Planned for release next
week is a
1:24 scale Kowloon Motor Bus Daimler DMS. No
other details are known at present.

less than five new Youngman single-deckers yesterday and noted in
service today was 1844 (TH4695).

Set for release tomorrow
in Hong Kong are these two Cars Workshop Kowloon Motor Bus Daimler 'D'
type models. The top photograph shows D336 (AD7242) on route 7B to Wang
Tau Hom (38003) whilst the lower one shows D331
(AD7237) on route 63 to
Yau Oi (South) (38004). Each is limited to 1,000 pieces. New
pages and
further photographs will be added shortly.
Pictured above are a couple of images of Tsuen Shui, a diorama built by
a long-time

KMB's newest bus at
present is Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL AVBWU404, registered on
Friday 10th April and noted undergoing some final adjustments yesterday
ay Kowloon City Ferry. It is believed this is one of the batch being
assembled in Malaysia.

First Bus
Alexander ALX500 bodied Dennis Trident No. 1215 have appeared on a
social networking site showing it having been converted
to open-top with a covered front cabin and the rickshaw canopy
at
the rear. Clearly an addition to the Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus fleet but
it has yet to be repainted.
