The new and the old
in Tung Chung today
New Lantao Bus MDR11 (VH 785), a 'facelift' Gemilang bodied MAN A95, and Citybus 6575 (VH 4627), a 12.8 metre 'facelift' Enviro500 are both recent additions to their respective fleets serving Tung Chung routes S56 and 37M today. Both these routes serve the new Housing Estate, Ying Tung Estate.. In contrast, New Lantao Bus MN04 (KY 7170), a MAN NL263, was the first full-sized super low floor single-decker in the NLB fleet, entering service in 2003. It's registration will expire on 2nd April 2018. My thanks to Bobby Liu for providing this update and photos. 30th March 2018

thanks to those of you who contacted me to confirm the missing
destination information, which I have inserted below.
Kowloon Motor Bus has unveiled it's 85th anniversary livery on 'facelift' Enviro500 ATENU1248 - a strange choice of vehicle bearing in mind this bus was delivered in the new red livery only in October last year. It is believed a model will follow.
On the subject of new models, it looks as though two further red-liveried 'facelift' Enviro500s are on their way 2nd

My thanks to 80M Bus Model Shop for confirming the two red-liveried KMB 'facelift' Enviro500s are set for release in Hong Kong tomorrow. Top - ATENU1269 (VC 5313) is on route 268X to Hung Shui Kiu (Hung Fuk Estate) (KMB2018001) whilst ATENU1249 (VB 2918) is on route 102 to Shau Kei Wan (KMB2018003). Each is limited to 1,000 pieces and new pages will be added shortly.

Yesterday saw the retirement of KMB Neoplan Centroliners AP131/2/4/6 - AP131 and AP132 carried the pearlescent green livery, both of which were subject of models.

Model 1 has announced it is to release a model of New Lantao Bus Gemilang bodied MAN A95 MD01 (TU9868) in Year of the Dog livery on route 37M (63213).
I believe the Model 1 China Motor Bus liveried Leyland Olympian LM8 was released in Hong Kong yesterday (63073). 27th March 2018

Released today in Hong Kong is Long Win Bus 'facelift' Enviro500 no. 5514 (UD 1640) on route A41 to Sha Tin Yu Chui Court. It is limited to 1,000 pieces and additional photographs have now been added (KMB-M-2017046).

Two new releases in Hong Kong today, both featuring KMB Wrights Gemini bodied Volvo B9TLs - the first (top) features AVBWU226 (RE 1291) with HKSAR 20th anniversary decals and is on route 281A (CR178011) limited to 500 pieces - the second features AVBWU27 (PJ 8875) in all-over advertising for Zihua Embrocation Oil. This is on route 170 to Wah Fu and is limited to 400 pieces. (CR178013). 22nd March 2018

Update

I have decided to retain the plastic models section, which now contains just a handful of models - gone are the numerous 1/120 scale models released back in 2008. The diecast models section has now lost it's smaller scale models Important announcement - 0830hrs
Following comments made in the recent survey and in order to make the site more manageable, I have decided to focus mainly on 1/76th scale diecast and resin models. This will result in plastic models section being removed along with diecast models that are to a smaller scale. (i.e. 1/110th scale). |

This red liveried Kowloon Motor Bus 'facelift' ADL Enviro500 is set for release shortly (KMB2018002). ATENU1257 (VB 8087) is on route 49X to Tsing Yi Ferry and is limited to 1,000 pieces.
The Kowloon Motor Bus and Long Win Bus Year of the Dog models were released on 3rd March and new pages have now been added (KMB2018004 and KMB2018005).
Network Shuttle are now accepting orders for two Model 1 Toyota Coasters - the first features UZ 7840 on route 31 to Causeway Bay (63801) whilst the second is believed to feature ED 77 (?) on route 481B to Tsuen Wan Market Street (63802)
Kowloon Motor Bus placed it's two new Euro 6 ADL Enviro500s into service on 27th February - E6T1 (VG 7382) is seen here operating on route 263 on that day.
