The model - This resin model was first announced  on 5th October 2006 and was released in Hong Kong in late October. Believed to be a joint venture with Concorde Hobby Shop, it appears that of the 400 models, 200 feature route 13D to SauMauPing Central and the remainder route 103 to Lok Fu. The KMB logo has been applied to the model, and it is believed that this logo will be provided with the model from tomorrow. Of course, the words 'KMB' are missing from the cream offside staircase panel. Did N4 have only a driver's windscreen wiper?

My thanks to Jacky Ho and Network Shuttle for supplying the information and photographs

The bus - N4 was one of the first four Dennis Jubilant chassis built by Hestair-Dennis. The bodywork is KMB's own design. The four vehicles were trialled in an attempt by KMB to find suitable front-engined double-deck bus. She entered service in the spring of 1978. Obviously the trials were successful and KMB ordered more than 350 further vehicles, bodied by both Alexander and Duple (Metsec).
