ADVERTISING/PROMOTIONAL LIVERY 2001
203 of you took part
in this year's Vote,
which as you are aware, was split into two categories, one being for
the
Best New Casting of 2001, the second being the Best
Advertising/Promotional
Livery of 2001. Both covered the same period, i.e. 1st December 2000 -
30th November 2001. Another difference from previous year's voting was
that this Vote had the extra incentive of "prizes" - Citybus kindly
offering a model of their forthcoming T1 Dennis Condor in Driver
Training
livery to the winner of the Best New Casting category, and CMNL
kindly offering to provide a pre-production sample of Creative Master
Northcord's
recently released SBS Transit liveried Volvo Olympian to the winner of
the Best Advertising/Promotional Livery. I am very grateful to both for
providing these prizes - Thank you.
Your first choice for
each category was awarded
3 points, your second choice 2 points and your 3rd choice 1 point. At
the
end of voting, all the points for each model/livery were totalled, and
the full results are shown below.
BEST
NEW CASTING 2001
This category had a
runaway leader from the very beginning and over 70 of you voted the
Buses
Model Co. Leyland Olympian as your first choice for Best New Casting.
Second
and third placings were somewhat closer, with the Corgi MAN eventually
taking second place. Surprisingly, only two people's votes matched that
of the overall result, and these two names went into the so-called hat
for the winner to be decided. Congratulations to Eric of Manchester,
UK,
who will receive the Citybus T1 Training Liveried Dennis Condor. Well
done
to Calvin Cheng, who was the other name in the "hat".

different from the Best New Casting in that the top three models were
separated
by only 7 points, with the leader changing places throughout the
voting.
Believe it or not, only one person's vote matched that of the overall
result!
Congratulations to John of Vancouver, Canada, who will be receiving
CMNL's
pre-production SBS Transit liveried Volvo Olympian.
