The model -
the first release of a Singapore bus model for many years came in
December 2015 and was in the shape of a 'new generation'
Alexander
Dennis Enviro500 for SMRT Buses, carrying the
company's attractive
livery, which was first unveiled on the first Enviro500s
in June 2014.
The bus
- SMRT
Corporation Limited is a leading public transport and non-public
transport provider in Singapore. It presently operates 1,200 buses.
SMRT
ordered 201 Enviro500 MMC in 2014 and it is the sole operator
of
this vehicle in Singapore. It is also the first
double decker
bus ordered by SMRT.
The
deliveries of the buses started in May 2014. One of the buses is a
prototype built in Scotland while the remaining 200 buses are built in
China and shipped back to Singapore. |
