The model - this is one of two Enviro400 models announced by 80M Bus Model Shop on 21st April 2019, the other features ATSE36 in champagne livery (KMB2019010). The model carries this special livery to mark the 86th anniversary of KMB, which occurred on 13th April 2019. Both were released on 28th April 2019.

The bus - Following successful trials of ATSE1, the first of KMB's Alexander Dennis Enviro400, an order for fifty further buses was placed in February 2012 with delivery taking place between November the same year and February 2013. ATSE46 was registered on 31st January 2013.
